World Diabetes Day November 14 (Diabetes Australia)

I’ve become much more aware of diabetes, particularly type 2, since a few of my friends have recently been diagnosed. The world diabetes campaign is an event used to increase understanding of diabetes and to raise funds for research. The theme of World Diabetes Day 2018 is Family and Diabetes. The year’s activities and materials will focus on promoting the importance of screening to ensure early diagnosis of type 2 diabetes and treatment to reduce the risk of serious complications.
