At the official launch of the Darlington village upgrade, Charles Kernan Reserve was filled with a crowd of locals and a palpable sense of anticipation. Today was a day of celebration: not only of the completion of the upgrade, but also of the legacy of a much-loved community member: Trevor Edward Davies (1956–2011).

DARLINGTON: Between September 15-19, Sydney’s Eora College will proudly celebrate its 30th Anniversary Open Week. Eora College has been servicing local and statewide Aboriginal communities since July 6, 1984, from both its Redfern, and more recently, purpose-built Darlington campus. As the first Aboriginal College in NSW, Eora College has had tremendous success with providing quality Aboriginal education across the state.

Sydney University is seeking approval for a 68 per-cent increase to its Camperdown-Darlington campus floor space by the end of 2020. This will accommodate a 21 per-cent increase in students on the campus as well as 4,000 units of “affordable” student accommodation.

DARLINGTON: Residents have expressed their opposition to the proposed University of Sydney student accommodation to be built on Abercrombie Street. The accommodation, part of the University’s Abercrombie Precinct Development, will provide studio apartment rooms for 200 students.
