I am the new Aboriginal Liaison Officer for the Waterloo Redevelopment. This position is for the Aboriginal community of Waterloo – to help Aboriginal people’s history, culture and existence be incorporated into the Waterloo Redevelopment plans. There will be numerous consultation workshops for all first nations community members and organisations of the Waterloo area to give input about what the Aboriginal community wants within the redevelopment.

I will also assist Aboriginal tenants with any maintenance and tenancy issues.

I currently work 28 hours a week, from Monday to Friday. I work mainly in the Waterloo Public Housing Action Group (WPHAG) office which is based in the Waterloo shopping complex (Waterloo IGA) next to the Joseph Banks tower.

As this is a first-time position I would like the community to know of this role! Please come and have a yarn and discuss your concerns (if any).

You can contact me via email on alo@innersydneyvoice.org.au or mobile 0411 747 194. Otherwise please come to the WPHAG office: Shop 4, 95 Wellington Street Waterloo, Monday to Friday.
